Towards the end of my tenure at Ubisoft, I had the opportunity to work at editorial headquarters in Paris, France for a prolonged duration. During which time I was involved in discussions with designers and producers surrounding a number of projects including Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Trials Fusion with a view to making a number of systemic proposals for enriching the gameplay experience. This amounted to an internal best practice guidance document, a [GTAV systems map] to better visualise potential gameplay domino effects, and various calls with project stakeholders.
It was also during this time that I was also involved in alpha playtests of Rainbow Six Siege. Working alongside a line designer, I contributed general gameplay feedback towards the level design, interface design, character roles, weapon balance, and game flow. In addition, I suggested that classes could be further differentiated with bespoke equipment to suppress abusive tactics, and promote co-operation.
